what follows is a collection of rage against the machine remixes, collected into a short album. there have been remix albums before - we're not re-inventing the wheel here. official remix albums are used by record companies to eek out a little more profit from existing recordings for very little capital. bootleggers and mash-upers have remixed/bootlegged albums before to use as a platform on which to display their (sometimes dubious) production skills, piggybacking off the fame and talents of the original artists (arise, sir dangermouse).

enRAGEd is not a bootleg album, although it does contain a few samples. it is mainly glitch/bass/splice-pop/breakcore/bleep remixes, with the odd cover version. think v/vm / spasticated / shitmat / girl talk if you want a vague idea. boom selection and gybo readers may be familiar with some of the remixers (and if you're not, you should be after this).

enRAGEd has no purpose. we're not making a political statement. this is no post 7/7 reaction from the thinking peoples' remixers. neither is it for charity. we're not going to laiden you with guilt. we just quite like rage against the machine and thought some of the songs would make quite good remixes. just enjoy what we've made as much as we've enjoyed making it. if you like it, spread the love.
