the war of the worlds (bootleg version) 

Way back in 2005 I got hold of the raw vocal performances for Jeff Wayne’s 
Musical Version of The War of The Worlds, and put together a bootleg version, 
featuring a variety of musical sources, and released it into the wide world to a 
good deal of critical acclaim. 

The following year, to coincide with the debut peformances of this awesome 
musical experience on stage, I did a redux version, fixing a few things I didn’t 
like with the original version and replacing a few of the musical tracks. This 
version was then released, and I’m still getting positive feedback about it to 
this day. 

So, now you probably want to hear it, so click on this link to jump to the 
original 2006 site where you can read about the background of the project, the 
thinking behind the musical choices and the files themselves. 

Being as I still consider this to be my finest work (and I’m not alone in 
thinking this, having received hundreds of emails over the last few years), if 
you do give it a listen, let me know what you think, because there’s a chance 
that for the tenth anniversay of the original project, albeit not until 2015, I 
may just play with it for a third and final time………Enjoy!
